Ashley Cooper

Veteran Trauma Therapist

If you're struggling to adjust to life outside of the military, if you've experienced a significant trauma with no idea how to move forward, or if you've ever experienced or are currently struggling with an eating disorder...Ashley would love to help you on your journey. If you've found yourself looking for a friendly, outgoing counseling professional to work with you through life's challenges, Ashley is your girl! She has spent 13 years of her life serving our country in the Army and in the Army National Guard, with experience in a deployment under Operation New Dawn, a quick trip to Korea, and two months serving our very own Houston community in response to Hurricane Harvey.

Additionally, Ashley has 10 years of experience as a Police Officer, and is no stranger to being faced with a variety of trauma. She believes that this career, combined with her military service has given her the tools needed to be able to hear your trauma and give you the understanding that you may not be able to get elsewhere. She will meet you right where you are.

She is working towards a certification in Eating Disorders, and has experience in Cognitive Processing Therapy for intense trauma. With Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), you will be able to take an in depth look together at the pain this trauma has caused, and gain an understanding of it from all different angles. Understanding the “why” behind why tough things happen, and learn how to move forward.

Ashley is an LPC-Associate under the supervision of Joanne Curgian licensed number: 70747.
