Ashley Hobbs

Ashley is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services from the Sam Houston State University (2012) and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Sam Houston State University (2017). Ashley  has gained years of experience as a counselor in community, forensic, and hospital settings.

She has worked with adolescents, adults, families, couples, and groups. She has experience helping people to adjust to life transitions and deal with depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationship and other adjustment issues. Ashley uses a variety of therapeutic modalities, including but not limited to Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), Person Centered, Gottman Method and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

She believes that counseling is a therapeutic relationship that can help clients gain insight and understanding of behaviors and provide emotional healing. Her primary therapeutic purpose is to create a healthy therapeutic relationship, develop goals and provide ethical counseling to her clients.

When not working with clients, Ashley enjoys spending time with her family, reading and spending time with her dogs. Ashley also enjoys being by the water as she finds it gives her a sense of peace.
