Kerri Francis

Licensed Professional Counselor

Kerri Francis is an LPC. She received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and her master’s degree in Counseling and Guidance from Texas StateUniversity (formerly Southwest Texas State University). She has been a licensed provider for over 20 years and has diverse experience including inpatient facilities, partial hospitalization programs, insurance companies, and even law enforcement as an adult probation officer.

Kerri works exclusively with adults and specializes in trauma recovery, whether it’s “big T” or “little t” trauma. She feels trauma recovery is her calling, not just her job. She has over 5-years experience working with military veterans and first responders, although she equally enjoys working with adult civilians as well. In addition to work with trauma, Kerri addresses a variety of other diagnoses such as depression, anxiety, substance abuse (12-stepemphasis), and mood disorders.
Kerri is certified in Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).  She regularly attends consultation and advanced training to continue to hone her skills. Kerri finds EMDR fascinating. The brain has an incredible ability to heal itself and Kerri finds herself in constant awe of the process, no matter how often she sees the results.

Kerri is a widow and has 4 sons, the “Bigs” and the “Littles.” Tucker and Keaton are grown and out of the home. Kepler and Bowman are teenagers living at home. They have a sweet pitbull named Leilani and a Burmese python named Odell.
